We invite you to the virtual launch of a booklet which will be followed by a panel discussion to mark the conclusion of 'Empowering Communities to Address Violence Against Women and Girls' project initiated by the British Council, carried out in partnership with the Foundation for Innovative Social Development (FISD), Jaffna Social Action Centre, Janathakshan and Hashtag Generation.

The project was aimed at creating a violence-free environment for women and girls to participate fully in their communities, take control of their own lives and enjoy greater equality. Training workshops were delivered in 20 local communities, in 7 Divisional Secretariat (DS) divisions in Jaffna, Batticaloa, Monaragala and Hambantota Districts.

We will be communicating the findings of this project, engaging in a panel discussion followed by an interactive Q&A. We look forward to your contributions towards creating a change in both attitudes and behaviours so that the women and girls of Sri Lanka can live free of violence and the fear of violence.

Once you register for the event, we will send you the link to join the event. Registrations are now closed. Watch the live event on Facebook.
