British Council conducts a bi-annual event in our libraries around the world, to nurture the habit of reading among young children between the ages of 7 -15. To make it more interesting for the young ones, every year a different theme is selected and the kids are encouraged not only to read, but also to participate in a related activity/workshop that would make the learning enjoyable.
This year, children will be encouraged to read 6 books & complete 6 associated activities under the theme ‘Mythical Maze’. They would then participate in two workshops where they will learn to create a story and later join our cartoonist to create their own cartoon character.
- Reading Challenge will start on 9 August 2014
- Registration Fee Rs.1000/- for members and Rs.1500/- for non-members
- Writing workshop will be held on 25 August 2014 (Reading challenge participants only)
- Cartoon Workshop will be held on 7 September 2014 (Reading challenge participants only)
Registration will take place from 15 July – 7 August at the Library.
