This week we are talking about fame. What is it? Why do people want it? What advantages and drawbacks does it have?
Every week at Jaffna Talks we invite you to come along to the British Council Jaffna library to discuss a different topic. You’ll have the chance to share your ideas and listen to other people’s. There is no pressure to be accurate with your grammar – the only thing is making sure people understand your opinions.
We know that there are not many opportunities to practise speaking and that practice is the only way to build confidence in a language. That is why we have started an English Club with a discussion group at its heart. There are no classrooms, grammar drills or teachers… only you and like-minded people to discuss the issues of the day in English.
Date: 29 April 2017
