On 21 May 2016, Jayanthi became the first Sri Lankan to summit the highest mountain in the world. On the same day, Johann reached an extraordinary height of 8,400m – only a heartbreaking 450m short of the summit.

Jayanthi and Johann will be sharing their experiences and learning, their determination, the ability to perform under extreme conditions and on summit day, and other skills that are necessary for anyone to succeed.

Jayanthi and Johann’s meticulous preparation, dedication, mental toughness and courage are all factors that have contributed to their successful expedition. They form the basis of a tale that is both awe-inspiring and motivational. And this is transferable to everyone’s own ‘Everest’. Although Jayanthi and Johann each have their own unique experiences and stories from this expedition, their dedication and support for each other make them a truly unique and inspiring team. Their technical skills and tenacity, mental strength, and decision making under pressure, as well as their generous and approachable personalities, ensures the corporate sector has a unique opportunity to benefit from two superb athletes.
