Chris McIvor, Country Director for Save the Children in Sri Lanka, has worked for over 30 years in emergency response and development. His publications include books and articles about development issues, including Zimbabwean land reform, the rights of people with disabilities and unaccompanied child migration. ‘The World is Elsewhere’, which relates his experiences in Cuba, Haiti and Morocco, is the final part of his autobiographical trilogy with previous books set in Sudan and Southern Africa.
