Step 1: Complete your registration form

When to register

Cambridge international EXAMINATIONS -  June 2017

Complete the online registration by referring the specific subject code list given below in the documents section and submitting it through the "Online Registration Link".  For further details, please refer the information sheet.

Pearson edexcel INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATIONS -  JUNE 2017

Step 2: Submit your application form and pay

Private candidates:

Online method: Pay through Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards

  • Select “Pay online” and click on “Continue”

  • Enter your payment details and click on “submit payment”

What to submit to British Council:

  • You need to email us a scanned copy of your ID, passport size photograph and previous results sheet/statement of entry(if you are carrying forward marks) to Schoolexams_lk@britishcouncil.org

  • Please mention Cambridge/Pearson Edexcel and your name and registration reference number in the subject line.

Offline method: Pay through credit/debit card or cash over the counter (No bank transfers are accepted)

  • Click on “Pay another way” and click on “Continue”

  • Make a note of your reference number

What to submit to British Council:

  • Login to your email account to take a print out of the “Registration Summary”

  • Place your signature on the registration summary

  • Affix two passport size photographs to the “registration summary”

  • Your original ID

  • Copy of your ID document

  • Four self-address envelopes (will be provided at the customer services counter)

  • Previous results sheets/statement of entries if you are carrying forward your marks

Each examination board has a normal registration stage for each exam session. You may still be able to register for exams after this date, but you will have to pay a penalty fee. You can find more information about late registration penalty fees on your information sheet. 

Step 3: Receive your Statement of entry form

Once you have completed step one and two, you will receive your Statement of Entry and information about your examination venues approximately three weeks before your exams.

Need to amend your entry? 

You can make amendments to the entry you have made. Please note that amendments are subject to an additional payment as specified in the information sheet.

Step 4: Refund Procedure

Edexcel Refund Procedure

Stage 1

Refunds will be given less an admin fee of LKR 2,000/- per subject for International GCSEs and per unit for GCEs and per unit of IAL. 

Processing period: Please note it will take approximately four months from the local closing date to process the refunds. 

Stage 2

This service is available only during the exam period. Refunds will be given on medical grounds and should have supporting evidence.

Approved list of hospitals will be published in our website.

Acceptance/rejection of the medical refunds will be at the discretion of the exam board, Pearson Edexcel. 

Upon the approval British Council will be issuing the refund, less an administrative fee of LKR 2,500/- per subject for International GCSEs and per unit for GCEs and per unit of IAL.

Cambridge Refund Procedure

 

Stage 1

Refunds will be given less an admin fee of LKR 2,000/- per subject.

Stage 2

This service is only available during the exam period. Refunds will be given on medical grounds and should have supporting evidence. 

Approved list of hospitals can be found in the documents section below.

Acceptance/rejection of medical refunds will be at the discretion of the exam board, Cambridge.

Upon approval, British Council will issue the refund, less an administrative fee of Rs. 2,500/- per subject for GCE OL and A/Level

Note: Further guidance on what should contain in a medical will be published prior to the commencement of examination.

 IGCSE/ O/level and A/level  Deadline 07 February 2017  From 02 May to 16 June 2017

In addition, following fees will not be refunded

  • Partial refunds will not be processed (registered option needs to be withdrawn – not individual units)
  • Late fees
  • Practical fee included in the subject fee for Science subjects and ICT subjects,
  • ICT, AICT: LKR 1300
  • Chemistry, Physics and Biology: LKR 3000.00
