Stories are an excellent way to support your child’s development.  Through stories your child is exposed to a wide range of vocabulary and grammar.  More importantly, they hear it in new contexts which improves their understanding.

Reading builds fluency and confidence but it’s not only about language development.  Listening to stories broadens children’s minds and boosts their creativity.  It gives them a glimpse of other worlds and possibilities; encourages them to think about ideas and topics they may not have before; and encourages empathy for other people’s situations as they put themselves into their favourite characters’ shoes.

Our storytelling events normally include an arts and crafts component.
