We will create, write and perform! 

The writing residency conducted by British Spoken Word Artist and Producer, Nicole May, will focus on poetry and performance. The workshops will examine themes of borders, nature, the human condition, personal politics, values and philosophy, Identity and belonging. We will analyse and discuss different poems,  explore and write in various poetic forms as well as providing practical skills on how to perform text on stage. The residency will culminate in a public performance at The British Council library in Colombo.  

Age group: 18+
Workshop time: 10 am - 4pm 
Criteria: Beginners and indermediate writers interested in writing poetry
Deadline: 1 January 2019
