David joins the team with a wealth of international experience in Europe and Asia. Upon completing his degree David began working in the heritage and planning industry and gained experience working for high profile clients throughout the UK and France on large scale infrastructure projects.
In 2012 David decided to transfer his skills to teaching and training with a view to further explore opportunities for professional development in East Asia. After completing a Cambridge CELTA and a brief period consolidating his experience as an independent trainer David relocated to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Taking up a role with the South East Asia Ministers of Education Organisation David worked as a Business English teacher and skills trainer for clients throughout Southern Vietnam in both public and private sector during which time he developed a keen interest in intercultural dialogue and applied anthropology.
Keen to build on this successful experience, David moved to Moscow, Russia with a view to working with dynamic, high profile clients in demanding roles. Accepting a role with Wall Street Institute David spend a year as a specialist trainer working with a range of clients in a variety of contexts.
After a brief period back in the UK David joined the British Council Sri Lanka in 2015. Since then David has engaged in a work throughout the country for a variety of clients including Sri Lanka Telecom, IFS, Mobitel, Sri Lankan Airlines, SLIDA, Sri Lanka Police and Sri Lanka Attorney General’s Department. Each of these clients has augmented David’s experience and as a result he has developed an intuitive appreciation for the diversity and talent encountered in the Sri Lankan context.
David enjoys meeting new people; playing, watching and discussing cricket; martial arts and spicy food.
